    “We have just returned from our stay at Fustic House and it was heavenly! If you are considering a stay in Barbados, consider staying here. Picture yourself dining under the stars, surrounded by flowering trees, dimly lit porticos, a view of the sea, eating the freshest fish after a day swimming in the lagoon pool. This picture is a reality at Fustic House. The house and staff are fabulous. We were a group of 12 and had space for all. The new pavilion was a great space, and fit us all, for movie night. Everyone had a unique and beautiful room to share. We were there over Easter and did an egg hunt on the estate- the biggest egg hunt our kids have done. We found eggs for days! To recommend a stay at Fustic one must mention the staff. They are fantastic, each and everyone of them. Ishmael, the butler gets special mention as he is your point man for everything. He went above and beyond to help our group arrange a birthday surprise for a member of our group. This wasn't easy, but Ishmael did it with a smile. Kenroy the chef is incredible and we were instantly spoiled by his cooking, and looked forward to every dinner. Tony and Ishmael's recommendations for activities were spot on. They know their island and which operators are the best. The house itself is accurately shown in the photos. It is truly a unique, lovely oasis of calm and comfort. ” Jennifer L.

    “About Jacaranda - it was fabulous!!!!!!!!!! We thoroughly enjoyed it! It really made our honeymoon even more special - Pam and Pat, the cook and maid, took really good care of us, and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful time! The villa was beautiful - it was heaven to sit out on the patio deck and relax, read, to have breakfast by the pool! Oh, it's too bad we had to come back down to the real world!     “This was our first trip to Barbados and we chose Maxwell Beach Villa's #302 which was exactly as described. This is a beautiful unit in a great complex. We were greeted by super friendly Ceaser at the front office to give our keys and directions to our room. What a treat that our fridge was stocked with beer, soft drinks and there was also a basket of snacks. This was really appreciated after a long day of traveling. The beach here is beautiful and we had the pool mostly to ourselves for the entire week. We really enjoyed watching the green parrots in the trees just before dusk every day.     “Nutmeg at Merlin bay villas was just wonderful, we couldn't have asked for more. The furniture and decoration has clearly been selected with love. Everything was well taken care off. We enjoyed ourselves enormously. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a few visitors and they were all very impressed with the villa and the whole complex. They also thought the price was very reasonable (now, don't take the opportunity to raise them! ;-) ), as did we. The pictures on the website were accurate, which is not always the case in my experience. The whole Island was wonderful, so relaxed, friendly people, always willing to help. We all look back on this holiday as a highlight. Thanks for the excellent service, when visiting the Caribbean again, I'll be sure to contact you again.” Hauke J.

    “I just wanted to let you know we had a fabulous time in Barbados. Everything surpassed my expectations. I would definitely love to go again some day. Our cook, Joan and maid, Marva were so very accomodating. Joan is a great cook, and she is so friendly!! One thing that caused us a problem was the roll away bed. It is the most uncomfortable thing I have ever laid on. No adult person could fit on it, and with the bars and straps for support, we absolutley could not sleep on it. Two of my children and I all tried, but just couldn't make it through a night. (The group in the Firefly had one too - and that person slept on the hard floor every night rather than suffer on the roll away). That aside, though, I just wanted to thank you for all your efforts on making all the arrangements. We loved Donald (the taxi driver). He did a great job of getting where ever we needed to go. Joan made several local dishes which we just loved. In fact, I had her make her famous rice dish twice! We had clean clothes and towels all the time thanks to Marva's attention. And, all the local people were extremely friendly. We took the bus several times, and everyone was very helpful in giving directions and even walking with us to make sure we got where we wanted to go.” Mary K. / Naperville, IL

    “We are regular visitors to Barbados, usually 2 or 3 times a year. Our usual haunt is Sandy Lane. Reeds House #14 was so lovely and Caroline who looked after us was perfect! We can assure you that when we return to the Island, which will be soon, our preference, will be to stay at Reeds House! As a matter of interest, as you will imagine, we have many friends on the island and went to Sandy Lane (via wet bike!) to visit. We tried not to gloat when we were advised that Sandy Lane had been without air conditioning for 10 days and when we left it was still not fixed! An omen perhaps! When we spoke with the Manager, Alpha, he was keen to ensure that they didnt lose us given that the reason we were at Reeds is because Sandy Lane was fully booked! My wife and I are of the opinion that they have lost us, converted Reeds House people that we now are! We know the area, I play polo at Apes Hill, so the apartment together with the car was the perfect combination for a real Caribbean holiday! Many thanks and youll be hearing from us soon.” MJE R.

    “We have enjoyed two wonderful holidays at No.9 Reeds House in the last few years. Its a small, exclusive property with exceptional Staff. At that time Marcia looked after us and the apartment and you would not wish for better service. Your very own sun loungers and umberella are placed on the beach for your use, and whilst the beach in front of these apartments is quite narrow, Upper Carlton beach a few steps away is magnificent and virtually unoccupied. You can also walk the beach for quite some distance. A bus stop is just outside Reeds House, and a few steps away the famous John Moores rum shack for a little refreshment. My husband and I would highly recommend this apartment and property.” MARY BALDWIN

We actually stayed in 2 different units at Schooner Bay and 203 was by far superior. The decor, remarkable, classy, warm, soulful...it actually speaks to the heart. The housekeeper, Valeri made our stay that much more special. In fact, it was amazing to see a person take such pride in her job and really taking care of the guests. Everything was perfect including the grounds, the pool and the beach only steps away. We will definitely be coming back!!     “I have just returned from a stay at seashell and it was a fantastic villa. It is right on the beach and has as much beachfront and land as many of the premium hotels along the platinum coast. My daughter and friend had to be dragged out of the pristine sea every day which they almost had all to themselves. Some tour guys just pulled up to where we swam, and offered jet ski hire and to swim with the turtles [not at the same time!] They were so friendly and fun that we went out with them. It was the experience of a lifetime and i now know that my daughter is animal crackers as she petted the turtles in the sea.... and also found eggs the next day buried in the sand. The house has lots of space and comfort for a large family.The air conditioned dining room was a perfect location to sit and enjoy the chat and the exquisitly prepared food served by the in-house staff. Security from 6pm- 6 am is a great idea as the grounds are large. However i must say that every Bajan i met was charming and friendy and i felt very safe, and even used the local yellow buses all the time which were really fun. The new limegrove mall in holetown is gorgeous and i can recommend the new Nishi resturant as well as better known Tides and the Cliff. We really enjoyed the Harrison caves tour, Ariel trek Zipline over jack in the box gully and surfing with russel of dread or dead surf [rather than zed's who couldnt care if you were dead or alive]. I wouldnt bother much with Bridgetown as its like a different world. Alltogether a wonderful destination for families with older children and a huge suprise in terms of natural beauty, with easy access to monkeys [dont touch] turtles, exotic flowers and birds.     “FABULOUS villa! This villa is absolutely gorgeous, and I will definitely stay here again. From the back porch area you can step directly into the pool and walk across to go out onto the beach. The staff at VOTB were wonderful. They always greeted us kindly and took very good care of us. Right next to the villas is a little beach restaurant that was very good, and they have cheap drinks (and not stingy with the alcohol!). The beach is wonderful as well, nice place to swim and relax, as it is not very crowded. Holetown itself is a good place to stay - there is a grocery store and mall across the street and many expensive and inexpensive restaurants within walking distance (even a KFC).
