Enjoy the delectable, eclectic cuisine prepared by world-renowned chefs and award-winning locals in “the cuisine capital of the Caribbean.” Dining experiences range from elegant, intimate gourmet seaside restaurants to casually chic beachfront bistros and inexpensive roadside grills.  Tipping at restaurants is discretionary (10%-15%). A 15% service charge is added to each bill. Overall, the food is more expensive than other areas in the Caribbean, but consistent with the upscale nature of Anguilla. Lunches are $30-50 per person.  Dinners are $50-100 per person.

For a relaxed dinner after a day in the sun, we highly recommend Madeariman on Shoal Bay. Sink your toes into perfectly soft sand and enjoy pizza (yes pizza) and burgers to die for. For the more adventurous palate, the menu also boasts fabulous French and creole cuisine, all made entirely from scratch.

The best dinner on the island – located right on the beach, it’s casual, yet romantic.  Fresh fish such as Mahi Mahi and Red Snapper are expertly prepared by owner –chef David Coburn.  The sesame crusted red snapper is the specialty of the house.  Tuna tartar diced with tomatoes, onions, and capers on a bed of seaweed is also outstanding.  All desserts- the chocolate cake, and key line-lemon pie are worth the splurge.  Service is attentive and informative. Reservations a must. Located in Barnes Bay.

An excellent lunch. Get the tuna tartar appetizer- it is special.  The Gazpacho is memorable—1/2 green (cucumber) and ½ red (tomato), adorned with shrimp.  The salad bar at $20 is a bargain.

Enjoy this bakery, right on the main road just to the east of Cuisinart in the West End.  Eat a nice breakfast or brunch, or take pastries like the coconut pastry, the almond croissant, or the almond/chocolate croissant and bring them to your villa.  Located in South Hill Plaza.

Experience the lovely ambiance in this open air restaurant right on the harbor. Listen to the rustling of the ocean lapping up on the shore while dining and see the ships moored in the harbor. The food is excellent- try the Mahi Mahi, Red Snapper, Lobster salad and mixed salad.
