Bridgetown Shopping

Bridgetown has excellent English goods and Barbados rum. The antique shopping is renowned and there are many from which to choose.

The new cruise terminal offers attractive shopping opportunities with duty-free shops, retail stores and vendors featuring Bajan artists. Both duty-free shopping and local marketplaces are plentiful. In order to shop in the duty-free stores, you must produce your travel documents before the transaction can be completed. Some of the best buys include: Liquor, bone china, crystal, electronic equipment, cameras and binoculars, watches, jewelry, clothing and accessories and perfumes.  We recommend you shop in the afternoon, as the stores are less crowded then.

Craft shops where you can watch the artisans in action include Pelican Village on the Princess Alice Highway, near the Bridgetown Harbour.
The Cheapside and Fairchild Street markets in Bridgetown are among the local favorites.
