Brugal Rum Factory

No visit to the Dominican Republic is complete without touring this factory. You will get to taste the local drink of choice, dark brugal rum.
Tours are conducted Monday to Friday 9am to 12pm, and 2pm to 5pm.
Admission is free. Located on the Amber Coast.
 

Cathedral of Santa Maria

The oldest cathedral in the Dominican Republic, built in 1523 and still in use. With Rich Spanish Renaissance architecture showing in the walls of this cathedral, a great deal of history has been made here. When Sir Francis Drake captured Santo Domingo, this was his headquarters. Located in Santo Domingo.

 

Colonial City

Provides the ultimate historian experience, the city is only 1-square mile, although a tour of this exquisite city requires a minimum of 3 hours.  You will explore the history and culture of the old world in palaces, forts, museums, churches, statues and monuments. Located in Santo Domingo.
