A brick circular drive forms the approach to this whitewashed villa, which has an alcove with space for parking two cars in addition to a double attached garage. A small, Japanese-style garden greets guests at the front entrance, which leads into an airy marble foyer. A sunken formal living area, with a soaring cathedral ceiling, is two steps down to the right, furnished with over-sized braided-rattan furniture by Tommy Bahama, the same company that provided much of the tropically inspired furniture in this villa. Behind the living room is a library, with mahogany bookshelves and a comfortable desk, perfect for vacationers who can't quite leave the office behind.

To the left of the foyer is the kitchen, fit for a chef. Designed in Italy, it features stunning black marble countertops, blond wood cabinets -- some with glass fronts -- and professional-quality, stainless-steel appliances. The cooktop is located on the center work island, and there are extras like a wine refrigerator. A bonus family room, with a big-screen TV and leather couches, is on the other side of the kitchen. Between the kitchen and the front entrance is a half-bath, convenient to all the first-floor common living areas.

The foyer extends to form an open hallway down the middle of the villa, and it features a striking, round glass-top table that can double as a dining table seating up to 8, if desired. Just on the other side of this table, double glass doors open onto an attractive covered terrace, cooled by ceiling fans and overlooking the pool and whirlpool. On one side of this terrace is an expansive seating area; on the other is a rectangular stone dining table, seating 8.

The pool and whirlpool are set in a stone terrace, overlooking a well-manicured garden and featuring lounge chairs and a glider. On one end is an expansive gazebo, with a curved, brick bar with six barstools. There's also a full bath, refrigerator and a stove here, making this the perfect setting for outdoor entertaining or a poolside barbecue.

The three bedrooms are located upstairs, reached via a hardwood staircase. At the top of these stairs is a partially covered balcony outfitted with patio furniture, a perfect place to enjoy a cocktail with a view of the ocean. The master suite also has a small covered balcony, graced by two love seats with great pool and garden views. The master suite also has a gorgeous marble bath, with an elevated whirlpool tub, a separate all-glass shower stall, and a double vanity. Both guest bedrooms feature cedar closets, stylish decor and lovely baths, with tumbled stone tile.

The entire villa is a cool retreat from outdoor fun, with central air-conditioning. There's also an intercom system linking all rooms, which can also be used as a stereo so music can be enjoyed throughout the entire house simultaneously.
