In fact, the friendly pool attendants will set up your lounge chair on Wailea Beach as requested. Towel and water service is also available pool-side. The amenities and decor of The Golden Mandarin are superior to those of other generic rental pool homes. This privately owned, uniquely decorated and professionally managed garden level walk-in corner villa is most pleasing. Facing towards the setting sun, filtered sun light sparkles through the creme colored great room, illuminating the richly colored hand-carved Asian furniture. Floor to ceiling solid glass and screen doors fully retract into hidden pockets, creating a complete open-air living experience. For cooling comfort, switch on the central air conditioning with individual room controls.

Our favorite features are the exquisite oversized Chinese mural painting in the entry, iPod dock radio alarm clocks, lofty ceilings, mahogany wood trim, honed marble floors, spacious floor plan, colorful marble counters, carved furnishings designed by the owner, soft cotton bed linens, plentiful electronics, and a fully equipped office nook.

The gourmet kitchen is supremely well equipped with a generous array of better quality cooking and dining supplies. To mention only a few of the generous kitchen appointments there are two Sub-Zero refrigerators with freezer/ice maker and beverage drawers, Gaggenau stainless steel five burner cook top, Thermador convection and microwave oven, Bosch electronic dishwasher, Espresso machine, dual coffee makers and grinder, private outdoor covered terrace with Viking grill and rotisserie and additional beverage fridge.

Rental of a cabana provides access to the Grand Wailea pools & waterslides (height requirement applies) for up to four persons per day per cabana. Reservations are accepted only within 24 hours on a space available basis. You may also rent sports gear and beach chaise lounges/umbrellas in front of the Grand Wailea on Wailea Beach, although we also provide portable beach chairs, towels, umbrellas and coolers in your villa or home.

Housekeeping

Light daily or mid-week hotel-style housekeeping service is provided complimentary for full rate reservations. The type of service varies depending on the season and the rate charged. See rates section for more detail. Housekeeping service includes re-making the beds, disposing of rubbish, replacing supplies, changing towels, and a quick general tidy-up. Our villas are extremely well stocked with an abundant supply of towels, blankets and extra bed linens. Additional service may be requested in advance at an additional cost. Personal laundry service is not provided during the daily service, however our housekeepers are available to shuttle your personal dry cleaning and laundry to a near-by professional clothing dry cleaning and laundry service. Within the villa there is a laundry room with a washer/dryer, laundry supplies, iron and board. During the Christmas and New Years holiday period, DAILY housekeeping is provided, with the exception that there is no housekeeping service on Christmas Day December 25 and on New Years Day January 1. Additional housekeeping typically costs $35 per person per hour plus GE tax, with a 3 hour minimum. Advance notice is requested. Subject to availability.

Barbeque

The Golden Mandarin has its own deluxe stainless Viking propane grill with rotisserie, set outdoors on the spacious private terrace. A beverage refrigerator is conveniently located next to the grill.

Security System

Attentive security personnel patrol the grounds of the Wailea Beach Villas for guest security. The resort entrance is gated and staffed with security personnel.

Indoor Dining

A very pretty square-shape hand-carved Chinese rosewood dining table defines the Great Room. This seats six to eight guests for candlelit indoor dining. A separate counter in the kitchen seats 5 to 6 persons on bar stools.

Outdoor Dining

An over sized round table seats six to eight guests on a very nice outdoor covered private dining terrace. Two side chairs with a side table, and two lounge chairs provide additional options for sunning and relaxing.

Gym

Residents-Only Air Conditioned Gym and Fitness Center situated conveniently within Wailea Beach Villas will provide a good selection of work-out equipment. Use is complimentary for guests. The gym features Hoist brand bicep and tricep pull, leg-press, multi-press, lat pull-down, leg extension, hamstring curl. Free weights, resist-a-ball, mats. Two recumbent bikes, 2 treadmills and 2 eliptical trainers, all Precor brand with televisions. Showers and Lockers at Pool.

Internet Access

Complimentary high speed wireless internet service is provided as well as several ethernet jacks for hard wire internet high speed connections for guests without wireless receivers in their computers.

Office

A desk is provided in the second bedroom complete with an array of office supplies as well as an answering machine, and a 4-in-1 scanner/printer/copier/fax. To send or receive a fax use the personal fax machine provided in your own villa. Separately, there is a formal Business Center located in the main lobby, that is equipped with two Dell computers and a printer. It is open from 7:15 am - 10:00 pm daily.
