Can't wait to go back." Vicky K., IN "This is a special house; especially in terms of how well equipped it is both in the kitchen and elsewhere. Very warm and welcoming and every detail was taken care of." Sarah E., NY "It is hard to explain what a fantastic vacation we had in this villa, as well as St. John's. "Fantastic, fabulous, fun. It's difficult to explain how magnificent this villa is. It's hard to capture the beauty in the pictures. The property is very secluded but close enough to Cruz Bay and beautiful beaches to make it an ideal vacation spot. There was not one detail left undone. The furnishings were beautiful and the house was well equipped. Norris was amazing, catering to our every need. We would definitely recommend this to family and friends and hope to revisit one day, ourselves. Thanks for a memorable time." Ruth B., NJ "This is a lovely little villa located in the Springfarm neighborhood outside of Montego Bay. The location is great; short ride from the airport and close to the Ritz, Wyndham and Half Moon Hotels. An easy walk down the hill to Half Moon hotel for lunch and a dip in the sea was nice. The staff were wonderful, and the meals were great. I would highly recommend this villa for a small family or even for one or two couples." Susan R., MA "Our stay was wonderful!" Dennis K., OH "Our villa was wonderful, even better than pictured on the internet sites. We were relaxed the minute we arrived. Everything was as described or better. The accommodations were worth every penny we paid for rental. Service was excellent. Thank you very much!" Connie H., IL "Everything far exceeded our expectations. Every need was met." Renee P., NY "Great Vacation/Wedding! House was wonderful and met all our needs." Susan E., IN "Luciana & Bridgette were wonderful. They were very helpful. The villa was more than we expected. We enjoyed it immensely and we plan to return in two years. My husband was just diagnosed with cancer. That lends a special appreciation for our family time at "Serendipity" and its unparalleled beauty. We hope to heed the call." Jan B., CO "Mr. John Shoup personally meeting us and guiding us to the home was over and above the expected. Great time, great place, loved it!" Timothy B., IL "Our experience was outstanding! The preservation work continues at Copper Mine Point, however. Phase Two calls for repairing some of the nearby dwellings such as the living quarters, cisterns, ancillary buildings, and old shafts and mines that run down the hillside following the copper veins that were once one of Virgin Gorda's main exports. At the park's dedication as a historic site, Minister George noted "Just as the ruins of Mount Healthy on Tortola, which were employed to process sugarcane during the 1800s, this new national park will serve as an enduring testament of our cultural and economic heritage and the great strides taken in developing these islands." Copper Mine Point joins The Baths, Devil's and Spring Bay, Little Fort, Gorda Peak and the Islands of West Dog and Prickly Pear as one of Virgin Gorda's protected national parks. The BVI National Parks Trust oversees this site, located at the southeast tip of the island. From the observation deck high on a cliff overlooking Sir Francis Drake Channel, visitors are treated to views of the sailing craft plying these waters and the nearby islands of Tortola, Beef Island, and the Dogs. Enjoy a glimpse into Virgin Gorda's past with a trip to Copper Mine Point.
Once the site of an active copper mine, Copper Mine Point became a national park in 2003. The Spanish established the copper mine 400 years ago. In the 1830s, Cornish miners worked the copper mine, which remained in use until the mid-19th century. Visitors to the site can still see the preserved ruins of the stone chimneystack and the engine house, which are believed to date to the 1860s.
This beautiful hillside villa offers visitors breathtaking 360-degree views of Leverick Bay and the North Sound. Relax on the private patio or balcony and watch the sailing craft in the waters below. Surrounded by six islands, Virgin Gorda's North Sound is a protected natural harbor that attracts sailors, water sport enthusiasts, and snorkelers.
