Romano's Restaurant, St. Thomas
Located inside a huge old stucco house in Smith Bay, this Northern-Italian hideaway is owned by New Jersey chef Tony Romano.
The restaurant has been popular with both locals and visitors ever since it opened more than 12 years ago. Tony specializes in flavor-filled and herb-laden cuisine that some diners yearn for after too much Caribbean cooking.
House favorites include Linguine Con Pesto, Four-Cheese Lasagna, a tender and well flavored Osso Buco, Scaloppini Marsala, and Broiled Salmon. All of the desserts are authentic Italian gems and are made on the premises. The restaurant, characterized by exposed brick and well-stocked wine racks, always seems full of happy, lively diners!
