St. Lucia Beaches

All beaches on St. Lucia are public. The best beaches are on the calmer Caribbean side. The beaches around Soufriere and the Pitons have black volcanic sand.

Recommended Beaches in St. Lucia

Vigie Beach

Near the George Charles airport, Vigie beach is possibly the longest golden sand beach on St. Lucia. Sea grape and palm trees provide refuge for those seeking to step out of the sun. Sundays at this beach tend to draw a large local crowd.

La Toc

A crescent shaped beach just south of Castries, which is a lively beach offering a great atmosphere, although not as lively as Vigie Beach.

Anse Chastanet

A delightful volcanic sand beach perfect for snorkelers and divers; there is a sharp drop off with reefs and sea walls at Anse Chastanet.

Reduit Beach

A beautiful 5-mile stretch of white sand beach on Rodney Bay, perfect for a long walk on the beach. The waters here are calm and this is one of the more popular beaches on the island. Restaurants, watersports booths and vendors dot the beach for those looking to keep entertained.
