Carefree

Mahogany Run, North Side, St. Thomas

One of our most popular villas, Carefree sits on the island's north shoreline within the gated Mahogany Run Golf Course, and commands long-distance ocean views of Tortola and the Virgin Passage.

Carefree's elegant main level has a fully-equipped kitchen, living/dining room opening out to spacious covered and uncovered outdoor living areas, and to the pool.

On the opposite end is the air-conditioned master bedroom/bath suite with a workspace complete with computer with DSL line, and its own private verandah. A staircase leads to the lower level and to two more air-conditioned king bedroom/bath suites which share a covered breezy gallery.

Every room at Carefree treats you to a panoramic sea vista dotted with green islands and cays. And there's convenient parking right at Carefree's entrance - it's just one step up to the front door. Artfully decorated, this bright and airy home with its spectacular ocean views is only a short drive to beaches, restaurants, and shopping. Carefree is certain to please couples travelling together or a family seeking quality time in a unforgettably beautiful setting...a perfect escape!

Rental Notes
As is true in any popular destination, construction of new homes continues on most areas of St. Thomas. Below and to the left of Carefree is a construction site. The activity there has not been noisy or intrusive at all, and we have received no complaints about noise to date from Carefree guests. We will be happy to get current details of current construction activity for you and give you as much information as we are able to gather or observe about any noise - please inquire!

There is a neighborhood dog below Carefree who has barking spells from time to time. We do try to keep everything as peaceful as possible, but dogs will be dogs, and they will bark from time to time for whatever reasons dogs have for barking!

Carefree is a non-smoking villa.

"Within the past 12 months, I have vacationed in the Cayman Islands, Dominican Republic, Paradise Island, Bahamas and now St. Thomas. We had an excellent vacation in USVI; one of, if not the best vacation ever!! After visiting St. Thomas on a Royal Caribbean cruise last summer, I knew St. Thomas was a place that I wanted to return to for an extended stay. I had no idea how much I would love it. Prior to this trip, Kauai, Hawaii was by far my favorite vacation destination but I would now have to say that the Virgin Islands seriously rival a Hawaiian vacation and are a step ahead given the travel time. Overall, we were very pleased with the accommodations. While it is not the 5-star hotel with the updated decor (such as cabinets and kitchen and bath fixtures) that we are used to, everything else about Carefree enhanced our vacation: the view was absolutely breathtaking; the private sun deck and pool allowed me to relax and sunbathe in the mornings without having to feel rushed to get to the beach; the kitchen was equipped with every imaginable accoutrement making meals easy and we truly enjoyed the use of the outdoor grill. Needless to say, we made ourselves right at home and it was very hard to leave. One of the drawbacks of the mountainside location are the steep and winding roads. "
