No detail has been spared in the airy and spacious two-story Carolina-style home that is Frenchmans Lookout. Originally an infamous pirates' lookout because of its commanding and sweeping views, its perch above Sir Francis Drake Channel is caressed by constant trade winds. The views are breathtaking and incomparable and have been called "the best in the Caribbean."

Two electronic security gates lead into this completely private luxury estate. Frenchmans Lookout's main level offers the elegantly furnished great room, a brand-new gourmet kitchen and grand dining room with banquet table and an air-conditioned queen bedroom/bathroom suite. On the upper level are 4 very large bedrooms and 3 tiled baths, plus a well-outfitted office. Every room on both levels (including all bathrooms) opens via double mahogany French doors onto the generous wraparound decks, showcasing a captivating parade of sail and power yachts passing by.

All of the five high-ceilinged, romantic bedrooms offer state-of-the-art air-conditioning but few guests find it necessary. The simple but sumptuous furnishings define classic elegance: terra cotta floors with woven seagrass mats, plush chairs and sofas, antiques and fine art. Just outside is the 50-foot freshwater pool with a shallow cove for children, surrounded by masonry patios and wood decks. Adjoining the pool is a gazebo and gas barbeque bordered by dramatic rock outcroppings and lush flowering gardens and specimen trees- the aromas of gardenia and jasmine floats through the breeze! A state-of-the-art gym/recreation room and hot tub spa are located in the gardens.

The estate's professionally trained staff is discreet and detail-oriented. A private chef is available for your holiday pleasures at an additional cost. Recent additions to Frenchmans Lookout include: A state-of-art gym and recreational building has been built and equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, full weight machine, free weights - all on a rubber gym floor with a spectacular harbor and ocean views, exposed timbers, and cooling fans. The gym also has a full billiards table, table tennis and foosball - plus a TV and Stereo--all just steps from the main house and pool.

The poolside gazebo has a complete inside bar including a sink, refrigerator and a top-of-the-line built-in gas barbeque. Lunch, dinner, or late nights will never be the same!

To top this all off, we have a 6 person hot tub spa with soothing jets and a drop-dead view -- over the top, but you deserve it

Spa Therapies: Appu and Monali are our exclusive Frenchmans Lookout spa therapists offering everything from massages and body wraps to reiki and yoga. Appu and Monali provide 10 hours of on-site spa therapies per booked week.

There is nothing as soothing to the body and soul as receiving a massage on the deck as you unwind in the tropical trade-wind breeze.

Appu and Monali are trained in the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda and Appu is a certified doctor of homeopathic medicine. They have been spa therapists for nearly 10 years in India and the Caribbean

35-foot Motor Yacht: As part of your Frenchmans Lookout vacation Simon, our seasoned Captain, will take you out for 2 full days on the water. He tailors each day to suit you. Simon hails from England but has lived and sailed all over the world. In addition to being a first-class captain, he is also a marine naturalist and a world famous snorkel and dive master. Simon is happy to bring you to some of the best and most secluded snorkeling and dive spots in the Caribbean. His pleasant demeanor and knowledge of the area is unparalleled.

Breakfast by Gloria: Gloria Gairy, our long-term housekeeper, has just finished culinary training with one of America's most well-respected hotel chefs. Gloria prepares a healthy morning meal that is as tasty as it is satisfying. She uses only the freshest local ingredients and her cooking is sure to start your day on a pleasant note.

We also offer the option of hiring a gourmet chef during your stay for lunches or dinners. We will work with you to find a chef whose creations suit your tastes. There are a number of chefs we work with on the island and all of them offer excellent and varied culinary creations.
