Painstakingly restored and built around an old stone windmill from long-ago sugar cane plantation days, Clairmont Mill is set like a jewel atop a breezy knoll and surrounded by rolling green acres of privacy in an unspoiled nature conservancy. The grand entry hall invites you into this stunning villa, elegantly furnished with original art and antiques and accented by treasures and collections from Indonesia and from other world travels.

The Great Room encompasses part of the stone mill; a few steps up into the mill itself brings you to the fabulous gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with a Viking gas range, every spice and condiment imaginable, and lots of space in which to create delectable snacks and meals. Bordering the Great Room is a covered alfresco dining pavilion; a few steps lower is the blue-tiled pool and sun deck. These areas enjoy breathtaking, limitless views of St. Croix's North Shore and the aqua ocean beyond. A handcrafted teak staircase spirals up within the stone mill to two separate air-conditioned bedroom/bath suites which offer even better long-distance views and cooling tradewinds. The air-conditioned king master suite lies across the entry hall from the Great Room; the fourth bedroom with bath and air-conditioning lies within the mill and kitchen area, and has its own private entry. Just off the pool deck is the fifth bedroom - a private sleeping cabana, air-conditioned and with its own bath, which may be set up with a queen bed or two twins. A DSL line for your laptop, with Wi-Fi throughout the villa, and a full bath complete the luxurious amenities at Clairmont Mill.

This superb residence offers plenty of privacy for everyone in a gracious and unforgettable natural setting encompassing nearly 6 acres. It's located only a 10-minute drive away from the famous Carambola Golf Course, and the best diving in the Caribbean, on The Wall on St. Croix's North Shore, is just 5 minutes' drive away. Professional massages and spa services in the privacy of Clairmont Mill are also available with advance reservation.

Clairmont Mill's housekeeper, Mrs. Clarke, and the villa's gentle dog, Hunter (who is contained in the area below the villa by an invisible dog fence and will not visit the villa) occupy the guest house below the Great House for your convenience, in case you have questions or problems. But your complete privacy is always assured at Clairmont Mill.
