Bambooshay

Mt. Welcome, St. Croix

"Bambooshay" is a Creole word meaning "Enjoy yourself!" The word was coined during the Carnival in the 1950s and is based on the Creole word "Bambula." The bambula is a gay and spirited dance that originated in Guinea, West Africa.

This new architect-designed and artist-owned luxury villa maximizes the panoramic ocean views and trade winds.

Exquisite handmade one-of-a-kind tile, stained glass, pyramid ceilings, skylights, and professional landscaping combine to make an extraordinary multilevel hillside property. There are ocean, marina, and island views from every room. The three bedrooms each has a private bath and private deck area; the lower level third bedroom has its own private entry and kitchenette -- ideal for extended family or several couples! The gourmet kitchen, poolside dining area, and designer furnishings are standard luxuries at this villa. The living room opens to the pool with its spacious deck and arbor.

Maid, utilities and linens are included. Children are welcome. Handicap access is good. A cook can be provided by special arrangement. Bambooshay is located just a short drive to beaches, golf, tennis and town.

Note: Rates do not include 8% tax and a $500 damage deposit.
