Great Cruz Bay, Contant Point, St. John

Aurora is a 2,400 square foot, three bedroom, four bath villa with pool and separate one bedroom luxury apartment. The property is surrounded by bougainvillea-filled rock gardens, yellow trellis-climbing allamanda and broad decks framed by formal Grecian columns.

The villa's main focus is the courtyard pool terrace with inviting sunny and shaded areas, each with a unique view of the sapphire sea, St. Thomas and Great Cruz Bay. A trellised walkway separates the west wing, with the main living/dining area above the apartment below, from the two-tiered east bedroom wing.

Designed to be luxuriously private for two, the home can amply provide a vacation retreat for up to ten people with two separate living/kitchen areas. The layout lends itself to use by up to four couples or by two families desiring to vacation together, but with the privacy of each family assured.

Aurora's unique location, the Estate Contant area, combines convenience with seclusion and spectacular sunrise to sunset views. The villa is only five minutes from town on a fully paved road and a few minutes more from St. John's white sand beaches and the finest snorkeling in the Caribbean.

Aurora's spacious main living/dining area and its adjacent 40 foot deck enjoy spectacular sunsets and sparkling nighttime views of St. Thomas. Its adjoining open kitchen has every amenity from dishwasher and microwave to Calphalon cookware and gleaming dinner service to grace the glass-topped dining table which comfortably seats ten. Two additional outdoor dining areas each seat six.

Each of the three 14' by 16' bedrooms has a private bath with outdoor shower and a ceiling fan. All are situated to catch the prevailing breezes. The villa's luxurious master bedroom has a king size bed and full bath with tub. It has glittering views to the east, south and west. This bedroom's own secluded rock garden patio has a tiled service bar with refrigerator. It is ideal for a romantic breakfast or late afternoon champagne.

Each of the upper floor bedrooms (one with king size bed and one with twin beds) has sliding glass doors opening west to a huge deck overlooking the pool and Pillsbury Sound. The king bedroom is equal to the master bedroom in every way, with views which are perhaps even more spectacular.

The apartment, with its own private driveway and entrance, has a full kitchen, living/dining room with a convertible sofa plus a separate bedroom with a queen size bed.

Satallite TV, VCR and stereo (cassette and CD) are provided in both living rooms and a washer and dryer are available to guests. Other amenities include a gas grill, beach chairs, coolers and a selection of books, games and tapes for those ever-so-rare rainy afternoons.

St. John St. John is the closest to a true Caribbean experience that visitors to the U. S. Virgin Islands can have. Development is limited due to the fact that two thirds of the island is U. S.
