Tamarind Cottage

James Bay, Barbados

Tamarind Cottage offers gracious living, Caribbean style. This handsome holiday cottage is wonderfully situated under a mango tree on an escarpment overlooking the James Bay grounds. Less than 200 ft. from the beach, the villa commands a glorious view of the beach and coastline. There are just sixteen steps down to the beach. Beach showers are conveniently on the grounds.

A natural water course and pond with fish runs alongside the property. The traditionally inspired architecture of coral stone and wood features a spacious verandah on two sides with hammocks, tables and chairs suitable for dining. The interior layout is equally roomy with an open plan kitchen, dining and living room with ceiling fans. The well equipped kitchen includes an electric stove, oven, blender, toaster, percolator, mixer, fridge and washing machine.

The two bedrooms are air conditioned and have overhead fans, mirrored lighted closets with built in safes, and king size beds. The bathrooms are both en suite with showers and single vanities. Throughout, from verandah to bathrooms, Tamarind Cottage has been carefully and elegantly decorated, furnished and appointed.

An attentive staff of three is always on hand to help ensure that your stay is truly carefree. The Cook/Maid/Laundress prepares two meals per day, works six days per week, and is off on Sundays. A part time Gardener and Night Watchman are shared with the James Bay complex.

Rates and villa information are subject to final confirmation. Special holiday rates may apply for the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year period. Rates are based on double occupancy.
